Getting Safer Products Into The Hands Of Everyone

When I was first diagnosed with Alopecia Universalis I needed to know what had caused it. At that time, because I was disconnected from myself and focused only on external factors, I began looking at what I was putting in and on my body.

Even as a little girl, I loved my soaps and lotions, so when I started learning about the kinds of chemicals that are used in most products, along with the lack of regulation in the modern day beauty industry, I was shocked. As it turned out, "natural" and "safe" marketing had lead me to believe that what I was purchasing was better than it actually was.

How could it be that with all the science out there reporting on the harmful effects of these common ingredients, nothing was being done to stop this?

Although my previous self care products did not directly cause my hair loss, they were most definitely affecting the quality of my health. This was when I realized that I had to share my discoveries with others.

As a result, my journey to help get safer products into the hands of everyone, began when I became an independent consultant with Beautycounter
